Nice looking Hyundai i30 Tourer Revealed

It's got tons of space and sensible engines, but it looks decent too.

Hyundai’s latest Elantra has already spawned sedan and hatchback body styles. At next month’s 2017 Geneva auto show, the Korean automaker will add a wagon to the range.

In all probability, the new Hyundai i30 Tourer or Wagon will not make the journey to India and has been specifically designed for the European markets, similar to the i30 hatchback. Speaking about the new Hyundai i30 Tourer, Thomas A. Schmid, Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor Europe said, "Designed, developed, tested and manufactured in Europe, the New Generation Hyundai i30 is Hyundai Motor's DNA car in Europe.

The i30 is more than just a model - it is a family of cars, consisting of four body types with unique characters united by a coherent, timeless design. With the new i30 Tourer we are now introducing the next body type, offering elegance and versatility for everyone."

Built on the wagon bodystyle, the new Hyundai i30 Tourer shares its design and styling cues with its hatchback counterpart. The visual appeal of the car is further enhanced by the new front that features Hyundai's new Cascading grille, full-LED headlamps and the vertical LED daytime running lights. In terms of dimensions, it's 245mm longer than its hatchback cousin at 4585mm, with a width of 1795 mm, a height of 1475 mm and a wheelbase of 2650mm. Considering the buyers it caters to, Hyundai has also increased the boot space of the i30 Tourer to 602 litres, making it the best in class. The storage capacity is further enhanced by the additional storage space beneath the boot floor with several compartments.

Under the hood, the new Hyundai i30 Wagon get the same powertrain options as the five-door hatch, a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol motor makes 138 bhp and develops 242 Nm of peak torque. Hyundai also has a 1.6 litre turbo diesel that makes 108 bhp, along with a 1.0 litre turbocharged motor that makes 118 bhp. All the engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission as an option.
