Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV Revealed

The all-new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross features two turbocharged engines and a coupe-like design

Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi has unveiled its newest SUV, the Eclipse Cross ahead of its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The new Eclipse Cross SUV makes use of two turbocharged four-cylinder engines: a 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. The petrol transmits power to all four wheels through a CVT gearbox while the Diesel uses an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Regarding aesthetics, the Eclipse Cross sports the same Dynamic Shield front-end design found on the Outlander with the angled headlamps with DRLs flanking the twin-slat chrome grille which sits a top a massive air dam.

At the rear, the Eclipse Cross features a body-coloured bar that splits the steeply raked window along with C-shaped taillights.

Inside, the Eclipse comes with a heads-up display, a touch controller and an infotainment display equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

The new Eclipse Cross is expected to go on sale in Europe in late 2017.
