2017 Jeep Compass to be priced at INR 16 lakhs in India

Will go on sale in August 2017   Thanks to very high localisation levels, the 2017 Jeep Compass will not only be the most affordable Jeep in India, but also undercut its rivals. The compact SUV was expected to start from around INR 25-30 lakh, but citing an undisclosed source, a report from Overdrive says that the 2017 Jeep Compass will start at just INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2017 Jeep Compass is available internationally in four trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk. A report last year said that the off-road focused Trailhawk trim level is not planned for sale in India. A 1.4-litre FIRE MultiAir 2 petrol, 2.0-litre Tigershark petrol, 2.4-litre Tigershark MultiAir 2 petrol, 1.6-litre MultiJet II diesel and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel are the available engine options, but only two of them should make it to India: 1.4 FIRE MultiAir 2 petrol and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel. Honda WR-V India Launch Date Announced

Honda India   recently   launched the much-awaited 2017 Honda City   and received an   overwhelming response for the sedan .   Now, the company is gearing up to launch the WR-V on March 16 On the design front, the company has worked har d to keep the styling distinctive; the WR-V is a hatchback crossover derived from the Jazz. Overall, the styling is fresh with a high bonnet line, roof rails, and plastic cladding, giving it a rugged appearance. The Honda WR-V will carry the same engines as seen in the   Honda Jazz   and it will be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine. The power and torque figures in the WR-V are expected to remain same at 87 hp and 110 Nm for the petrol variants, while the diesel trims will deliver 100 hp and 200 Nm. The petrol engine will come with a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT (Continuously variable transmission) might be on the cards. The diesel variants will only have a 6-speed manual transmission.

Made-in-India Jaguar XF launched at Rs 47.50 lakh onwards

Launched first in 2009, the new Jaguar XF will now be locally manufactured NEW DELHI: Jaguar Land Rover India on Thursday launched its locally manufactured all-new Jaguar XF sedan at a starting price of Rs 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The all-new Jaguar XF will be available in two options -- a 2-litre Ingenium diesel engine with a power output of 132 kW and a 2-litre petrol engine with a power output of 177 kW, the company said in a statement.                                   It's got tons of space and sensible engines, but it looks decent too. Hyundai’s latest Elantra has already spawned sedan and hatchback body styles. At next month’s 2017 Geneva auto show, the Korean automaker will add a wagon to the range. In all probability, the new Hyundai i30 Tourer or Wagon will not make the journey to India and has been specifically designed for the European markets, similar to the i30 hatchback . Indian Motorcycle May Finally Be Assembled In India

Polaris is looking to expand its dealerships footprint and planning to assemble the Indian motorcycles in the country itself. America's first motorcycle company Indian Motorcycle is gradually expanding its network in India. In 2011, Polaris Industries purchased the Indian brand and introduced the brand in India in 2014. Through the dealerships in some of the major cities in India, the Indian Motorcycle offers its entire range, and as of now, all the models are imported to the country as completely built units (CBUs). According to a report by ETAuto, Polaris is looking to expand its dealerships footprint and planning to assemble the Indian motorcycles in the country itself. Currently, the portfolio includes the Chief range, Springfield, Roadmaster and the Scout. Hyundai's New Verna (Accent) Makes Global Debut At Toronto Motor Show

Hyundai Verna 2017 Hyundai has unveiled the Accent (sold as the Verna in India) globally at the Toronto Motor Show The Accent will be sold as a sedan, and upon the first glimpse, the car looks similar to the new Hyundai Elantra, featuring similar front design, along with the grille and headlight. The design, in fact, is inspired by the new Elantra, which is seen on the exterior as well as the interior. The new Accent receives aluminium platform, which makes the car light and strong, resulting in a much more engaging car to drive. The interior of the new Accent has also been updated, keeping the same design theme in mind. On the mechanical front, a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine will drive the car, and India could receive the 1.4-litre engine too.
